Mauricio Rosales

Mauricio Rosales holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Agricultural Sciences from the National University in Colombia, and a Ph.D. from Oxford University.

With a strong background in knowledge management, information systems and capacity development, Mauricio was appointed Coordinator of the FSN Forum in 2010. In this capacity as Forum Coordinator, he directs all the Forum’s activities as a global platform for knowledge exchange and dissemination of research results and best practices.

His more than 20 years of experience in planning, executing and managing agricultural research and development programmes at national and international levels has resulted in several books, studies, scientific and technical papers, and the world-renowned UN report Livestock’s Long Shadow: Environmental issues and options, which he co-authored. Currently he coordinates the FAO Russian Funded Project Developing Capacity for Strengthening Food Security and Nutrition in Selected Countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia.
