Kamiljon Akramov – Research Fellow and Leader of the Central Asia Program at IFPRI, which comprises of comprehensive research and capacity strengthening components. He conducts research on economic growth, governance, aid effectiveness, structural transformation and agriculture-nutrition linkages in transition and developing countries. Prior to joining IFPRI, Dr. Akramov was a policy analyst at RAND Corporation and a consultant for Asian Development Bank on governance and regional cooperation. He is author of Foreign Aid Allocation, Governance and Economic Growth (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2012) and Economic Dimensions of Security in Central Asia (RAND Corporation, 2007). He holds a doctorate degree in Economic Policy Analysis from RAND Graduate School in Santa Monica, California and Master’s Degree in Development Economics from Williams College, Massachusetts, USA.
